On November 2, 2023, Buffalo Manufacturing Works hosted a Fall Open House Happy Hour. The Shift 2.0 Program welcomed guests for food, drinks, and a discussion lead by Buffalo Manufacturing Works Automation Team on “Tasks, Tactics, and Techniques: Advancements in Cobot Machine Tending. Matt Malloy, EWI Automation Program Manager, and Jon Sieminski, Director of Manufacturing Operations at Northland Manufacturing, presented on the different applications, such as part finishing and palletizing, for collaborative robots in manufacturing. Shift 2.0 is a program designed to help small to medium-sized manufacturers in Western New York prepare for technology and process innovations to better operate, compete, and grow.
